The tiger, or Panthera tigris, is part of the Chordata phylum. It is the biggest cat species reaching a length of up to 3.38 m (11.1 ft) and weighing up to 857 pounds. they used to roam most of Asia, but now range from the Siberian taiga to open grassland and tropical swamps. The remaining tiger species have been classified as endangered.
Cardiovascular SystemThe Tiger's cardiovascular system is similar to the human cardiovascular system. Arteries spread oxygenated blood to the tiger's body and veins bring it back to the heart to be oxygenated by the lungs. Tiger's also breath in oxygen through its mouth and releases carbon dioxide as waste. This constant flow of oxygen throughout the body is dependent on the heart and the arteries/ veins. |
